SYNOPSIS OF MINUTES
DECEMBER 13, 2010
The regular meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. and opened with the Pledge to The Flag. Present were Supervisor Unterbrink, Clerk Bareis, Treasurer Havens, Trustees McKenzie and Laier. Also present several residents and guests.
Motion by Unterbrink supported by McKenzie to amend the agenda to add Board of Review Training, to New Business. Motion carried.
Motion by Bareis supported by McKenzie to approve the amended agenda. Motion carried.
The Treasurer’s report was received.
The Bridges and Roads Ad-Hoc Committee reported on findings of the condition of the closed bridges. They have been working with the Washtenaw County Road Commission to establish a process to accomplish repair/replacement and funding of the costs of the closed bridges in
Motion by McKenzie supported by Laier to revise the landscape bond requirement for the Ann Arbor Moose to defer the requirement for a bond until June 1, 2011, and require that the Moose complete the landscape plan as approved by the Zoning Administrator, by June 1, 2011, or post a bond at that time. Motion carried.
Motion by McKenzie supported by Laier to table any action on the Obsolete Property Rehabilitation Act, and Application of Obsolete Property Rehabilitation Exemption Certificate, for additional input from the Realtor requesting action. Motion carried.
Motion by Laier supported by Havens to take the proposed Truck Route Ordinance to a work session on January 6, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. Motion carried.
Motion by McKenzie supported by Bareis to appoint Mary Tobin, Archie Bradbury and Marlene Consiglio to the Lima Township Board of Review and appoint Larry Grant as Alternate to the Lima Township Board of Review for a two year term expiring December 31, 2012. Motion carried.
Motion by McKenzie supported by Havens to appoint Kenneth Unterbrink as Lima Township Representative to CAFA and John Edwards as Alternate for a term expiring December 31, 2013. Motion carried.
Motion by McKenzie supported by Laier that the following be reappointed to the following boards, for terms expiring December 31, 2011, Nanette Havens Representative, Greg McKenzie Alternate to Washtenaw Consortium for Solid Waste Management, Donald Laier Representative, Nanette Havens Alternate to Huron River Watershed Council, Kenneth Unterbrink Representative, Arlene Bareis Alternate to Washtenaw MTA, Kenneth Unterbrink Representative, Ed Greenleaf Alternate to Chelsea Area Planning Team, Kenneth Unterbrink Representative, Thomas Borton Alternate to SEMCOG, Arlene Bareis, Representative, Greg McKenzie Alternate to WAVE, Arlene Bareis Representative, Kenneth Unterbrink Alternate to Brownfield Redevelopment, Kenneth Unterbrink Representative, Donald Laier Alternate to Sylvan Township Water and Sewer Authority, and Kenneth Unterbrink Representative, Greg McKenzie Alternate to Chelsea Area Traffic Committee. Motion carried.
Motion by Bareis supported by Laier to approve the appointment of Marlene Consiglio to a three year term expiring December 31, 2013, to the Lima Township Planning Commission. Motion carried.
Motion by Laier supported by McKenzie to approve the appointment of Darrell Featheringill to a three year term expiring December 31, 2013, to the Lima Township Planning Commission. Motion carried.
Motion by Unterbrink supported by Laier to appoint Greg McKenzie Representative, Richard Bareis Alternate for a three year term expiring December 31, 2013, to the Chelsea Area Construction Agency. Motion carried.
Resolution offered by Bareis supported by Unterbrink to resolve to ban the sale of beer, wine and spirits within
Resolution Fails.
Motion by Bareis supported by Laier to take no action on the MTA Workers Compensation Proposal. Motion carried.
Motion by McKenzie supported by Havens to accept R. D. Kleinschmidt’s proposal to re-roof the rear, one story part of the Township Hall, and replace downspout and gutters on that roof, demolish and repair the unused chimney to below the roof and patch roof in the area as required, and defer re-roofing the upper roof, at a cost not to exceed $3000.00. Motion carried.
Motion by Unterbrink supported by Laier that the Township Board allow the Board of Review Members to take Board of Review Training. Motion carried.
Motion by Laier supported by Havens to pay bills as submitted and any others as may be required. Motion carried.
Motion by Laier supported by Bareis to adjourn at 9:15 p.m. Motion carried.
